I was a stay at home mom since Jan. 2018 with a new born; My fiancee was our breadwinner. A fine one at that! My eyes have been opened to the world so many ladies have no choice to endure. THIS PLACE IS NOT INTERESTED IN HELPING MOTHERS OR THEIR CHILDREN. As hard as I tried to not to have us in a shelter it became our only option. I was a resident at Home of Hope Buford for 2 weeks. Me and my 2 boys (8 and 1) were kicked out due to the staff an I quote "not liking me" why did they not like me? Renita (case manager and overseer of program stated "I had expectations they could not meet" what expectations? Both of my boys ave kidney conditions. My oldest son's condition is more severe. He also has ezcema. Before entering program you go through an, in my opinion, extensive interview and intake process. In that process all the information special to your family is reviewed and accepted or denied. I was told since I was not working to ask for whatever I needed. I asked for almond milk. My youngest is lactose intolerant. I have minor intolerance. We drink Almond milk. This became an issue. I was able to buy my own however YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BRING YOUR OWN FOOD ON PREMISES AT ALL! I also asked for free an clear (they provided a bottle when I moved in). They did not have it available. In my mind and reality I respectfully declined it and was given attitude ABOUT EVERYTHING. I asked for transportation. I never could get a ride anywhere even if I put the request in 2 days prior. I stopped asking. I made friends with some AMAZING WOMEN they all have helped me TREMENDOUSLY. ERIC IS A STAFF MEMBER, HE NEEDS TO BE REVIEWED HE DISPLAYS BEHAVIORS THAT I HAVE SEEN BEFORE THAT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED AROUND CHILDREN OR IN A SHELTER OF ANY KIND. HE SPOKE SO MUCH ILL TO ME AND CALLED ME OUT OF MY NAME. even in this instance I did not react maliciously but nodded and smiled. I did not come off stern until he took my son away from other adults and other children without my permission ALONE. FUTURE MOMS: PLEASE BABE IK THINGS LOOK LIKE THEY WON'T GET BETTER AND THIS IS YOUR ONLY OPTION BUT PLEASE CONSIDER OTHER PLACES FOR YOU AN YOUR CHILDREN. I was locate in DeKalb county and move our whole life to Buford. School, mail, jobs (the day they kicked me out I accepted a 15/hr job I will STILL start soon God is willing). Cobb street ministry is a wonderful place I lived there a few years ago they are truly wonderful. I hear great things about Rainbow Village. St. Vincent De Paul are ANGELS TO EARTH! Call churches be persistent. Be determined don't be easily swayed. Be wise in your picking. As mommy it's up to us to do the very best for our little ones. This place is not safe. It is prison. It is disrespectful to your rights as a human not just a mom needing a hand. If this is your only option do not let them close to your children MAUREEN, Angie, Bridgette, RENITA, Dottie! Stay away from these one. Jaylin, Amy, Ainya they are truly the only ones with a heart, however they have no power in all respect I say that. Thankyou Jaylin for your sincerity and always being such a outlet and understanding ear (hope you don't get let go lol) those are the type of ppl they are. Bend over backwards to do your best and smile in their faces no matter how much you are violated. PERSEVERE. They don't offer much but a roof over your heads is well worth it. Mommies I didn't get not 1 citation. I never broke curfew or any rules so never feel your place is secure. I on of them "doesn't like you" you will be kicked out. Current riders: YOU GUYS ARE ALL SOOO AMAZING. I REALLY DISLIKE I WASNT ABLE TO SOEN MORE TIME WITH SOME OF YOU due to how separated and confined we all we were. I look forward to the BBQs and mall meetings were you all can eat good and have some real smiles on your faces letting the kids run free (as not permitted at CHILDRENS SHELTER). Please keep your heads up. Everything is truly everything . Me and my boys are super ok !!!!!!! St. Vincent is setting us up for pure success stepping in where those demons came to further destroy. I hope the best for you guys. Cover your tails always and stay on top of your game 💕 End note: Before I said something about nutrition. They served ladies sandwiches an noodles ALL DAY! EVERYDAY! there is no breakfast only cereal and cereal bars. A yogurt occasionally. If food is in there they keep it for themselves. Food trucks came to donate. We never saw that again. Volunteers donate hot meals they serve it to us 2 to 3 days later when we won't eat afraid for our well being. They started putting fruit out 👏👏👏 do not schedule a investigation POP UP SPORATICALLY. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PASSES. This place needs a whole new staff and compassionate stern yet reasonable overseer. MAUREE. AND RENITA ARE NOT IT. MAUREEN WANTS YOUR MONEY SHE JUST GOT A NEW BENZ BUT THE HEAT IN BUILDING DOES NOT WORK. I HAVE LOTS TO SAY and trust me more than I ever trusted you all. Im always heard 😉

me honestly I would like to be a police officer myself it's been my dream job and something I always wanted to do be out there and protecting the community and those I love and not just risking my life for the community but for the team because team work is also important everything means so much to me.me I hardly have no friends I'm lonely I have nobody to hang out with I'm always on my bicycle riding all over the place and with my fundraiser idea should work I hardly had friends when I was in high school the only friends i had when I was in high school in coos bay oregon was mainly with the law enforcement between classes and lunch I'd spend my spare time with the law enforcement be by their side so if something happens if there is no other officer near by I'd jump in to help I'd do anything just to protect my community and the law enforcement

that's what my town needs I do agree everyone should get together and be there for each other and with the event help's and a good idea to get to know each other including being there for the law enforcement and I want to make that as my fundraiser version like free coffee with the law enforcement and donate a $1.00 to your local law enforcement in a donation box that's my Idea so we can give back to the law enforcement for the hard work they've risk their life's for us

I'm pretty sure I saw a news article about this guy. Yeah he's the one. He used to kidnap children for money for an abusive boarding school, which has since been shut down. Hmmm, thought this guy was in jail or something?
